“ IF you are looking for original Dominican food. You must visit Bonao Restaurant. always excellent food highly recommended!!I ”
“ Food is good. Service not. I had baked chicken, beans & yellow rice. The lady gave me white rice. Although, I blatantly said "amarillo" which is yellow in Spanish. When I brought it up, she said "you said white" in Spanish. Anyway, food is good and that's why I come here. I always do takeout. ”
“ Stopped in for breakfast. It was a cold rainy morning so I ordered sancocho, which hit the spot! Although, the tres golpes was a close second. Luckily, others in the party got it so I was able to have a bite! Loved breakfast and definitely recommend for good food! ”
“ So I've been coming here for years - over 10 years I would say- ever since it used to be in the tiny tiny place across the street. The new place is a lot bigger inside - it has a very small parking lot for 3 cars and 1 handicap- and most times I come I never get to park in the parking lot ... so you have to search for street parking otherwise Inside can be confusing for your 1st time. There is no hostess . And it is always busy- at least when I come . You can either go up the the counter to order or you can sit anywhere and someone should come and tend to you. It definitely has a local spot feel to it - most of the waitresses speak Spanish . Some may speak some English and I know some don't speak English at all. I've had terrible service at times... but sometimes I don't like today- I had a nice waitress. I think it depends on who waits on you. Bottom line- if you want excellent service then don't come because you may be disappointed. The menu has been upgraded - but no pricing on it - just as the last menu lol. Not sure why they don't put prices I don't come here frequently anymore but when I do I always come for the same thing I've been getting for years... THE MOFONGO and SHRIMP with GARLIC SAUCE !!!!!! ( $13) .....So Delish . One of my favorite places for mofongo besides places in Washington Heights. I attached a photo for your viewing pleasure. You're Welcome :) ”
